Avast secureline vpn login -

Avast SecureLine VPN is a basic VPN service that works with other Avast security products, like its antivirus and internet security tools.

A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, keeps your information protected at home, at your place of business, or when you’re traveling. In a world with an uncertain future of internet privacy, it’s more important than ever to keep sensitive data under wraps with a VPN, which acts as a personal bubble between your information and the vast world of the internet.

Avast SecureLine VPN Background

After years of foolishly running my online business via public WiFi (though more secure now than then ), I decided to start using a VPN to mask some of my communications and access a bit of out of market sporting events while traveling.

But I found out that – similar to web hosting – there is no such thing as a “best VPN provider”. In fact, it’s like a whole world of confusing information because even trustworthy information is near-useless since it’s so complex.

This Avast SecureLine VPN review is my notes from trying them out for my own purposes as a privacy-aware, traveling, US-based businessperson who needs good usability and good pricing. I am not a political activist or someone who regularly travels to firewalled countries.

Here’s a good explainer as to whether you actually need a VPN at all considering the pros & cons of VPNs…

Whether you are looking for a VPN for privacy on public networks, for website access, for avoiding geotargeting , for masking communications or all the above, hopefully, this Avast SecureLine VPN review will be useful.

What is Avast SecureLine VPN?

Avast SecureLine VPN is another security tool from Avast Software, a worldwide security company based in the Czech Republic. Since 1988, Avast has been a leader in the development of applications created to computers, devices, files, and personal information safe. You Probably know them best from their antivirus and computer cleanup utilities.

Avast SecureLine VPN offers all the standard features of a VPN with a focus on bundling with the rest of their security suite. They have a large marketshare in the VPN market, primarily from their large marketshare in the antivirus market.

Is Avast SecureLine VPN Safe?

Yes, ExpressVPN is safe*. They are owned by a large, growing company with a straightforward and open business model (aka, the customer pays money for a service) and audited services & financial records. They’ve been around for a while and have high standards of disclosure from many non-profit industry watchdogs.

*The asterisk here is that the company does log usage for performance and improvement. This does mean that there is user data available for subpoena and hacking. Now – that doesn’t mean Avast is unsafe, but it does mean that they are vulnerable in ways that competitors are not. Additionally, all commercial VPNs suffer from the same group of risks outlined by the US National Institutes of Technology’s Empirical Analysis in 2018 .

Is Avast SecureLine VPN Good?

Yes, Avast SecureLine VPN is a pretty good VPN if you are using it for specific purposes. They have tradeoffs for sure, and they aren’t right for many VPN users. But they offer everything many customers want in a VPN at with an well-priced security bundle that many customers value.

So here’s the rest of my Avast SecureLine VPN review – structured with pros & cons based on my experience as a customer so you can figure out if Avast SecureLine VPN is a good fit for you, or if you want an alternative paid VPN.

Avast Secureline VPN Pros / Advantages

Avast SecureLine VPN does a lot of things right for a VPN. But the general main overall “pro” is in its simplicity. It truly is one of the easiest VPN services to understand and use, making it perfect for beginners to try out. You’ll install it and get it set up within minutes, and you’ll likely forget it’s even running on your computer.

If you travel frequently and don’t have time to mess around with settings, Avast SecureLine VPN can be an excellent option. It won’t slow down your connection to ridiculous speeds, and you’ll like the no-hassle approach to VPN services it provides. But there are other solid advantages to Avast.

Use it on Multiple Devices

Some VPN providers offer only protection for PC or Mac, but Avast makes SecureLine VPN can work seamlessly across your devices. You can download it for your PC or Mac computer or any Android or iOS device for up to 5 devices.

Avast SecureLine VPN customers who use the mobile apps love how easy they are to use. Their simple interface lets you connect to your chosen server with the click of a button, and you can even have the app try to find the most optimal server location based on your current location.

The SecureLine mobile apps also won’t bog down your mobile device’s performance, which is great if you’re traveling and already experience slower internet speeds.

Geographically Diverse Servers

Avast SecureLine VPN isn’t necessarily known for having a huge number of servers, but it’s great that they have geographically diverse servers over six continents. There are 54 server locations altogether, spread over 34 countries. Even thought that’s not an especially large number, they are strategically located with seven servers alone in large cities across the United States, like Seattle and Miami, making it an optimal provider for US users.

Avast Connection Cities

The more locations there are to choose from, the better your chances are of having good internet speeds with little lagging. Frequent travelers know how slow hotel Wi-Fi connections can be, so it’s important to have a VPN that won’t weigh down your speeds even further.

Minimal Interference

Some of the best things Avast SecureLine VPN has going for it is its little interference of anything you’re doing on your computer. The installation, for example, couldn’t be easier. It takes only seconds to download and a couple of minutes to install, and then it seamlessly runs in the background.

The app itself doesn’t take up a lot of space on your computer, and it won’t interfere with existing files. The computer app is just a small window that’s minimized to the system tray when not in use. Open it up to access the features of the app if you need to change anything; otherwise, you don’t even know it’s there.

The major benefit to this is that the apps won’t slow down your computer or mobile devices. There’s no big, bulky program that uses a large amount of memory to keep you protected, so you can do your work on your devices without your VPN holding you back. Additionally, if you are an Avast security suite subscriber, it will play well with all your other Avast programs.

Streamlined for Ease of Use

If you’re looking for the easiest, download-and-go VPN client, Avast SecureLine VPN gives you that. If there’s one thing Avast is known for, it is simplistic, clean security tools that almost any user can operate. Its VPN apps for computers and mobile devices are no exception. Once you purchase, you simply download and use the emailed code to activate.

Installation for Avast

Avast SecureLine VPN is an incredibly barebones app, so it will save you time not having to mess around with features or research techie terms to understand what you’re doing. It offers the most basic VPN features, like a simple pull-down menu to choose a server or automatically connect to one and language options. That’s literally it. Avast couldn’t have made it much easier.

Phone Customer Support

Customer support is incredibly tough to judge. Actually, it’s impossible to judge as an individual since any experience you have may be anecdotal. That said, I think it is useful to try to figure out if a company views customer support as a cost or as an investment.

With Avast, they seem to offload a lot of customer support to their forums, which is not ideal in my opinion. They have a decent (if only Anti-Virus focused) knowledgebase. But the one thing they do have that many competitors do not is phone support.

Avast Customer Support

If you are the type of customer that needs phone support, then Avast gets a big win there. Otherwise, their support seems fine.

Avast Secureline VPN Cons / Disadvantages

If Avast SecureLine VPN’s primary pro is ease of use, then it’s primary cons are speed & security. Ease of use is a great thing for people who are just learning how VPNs work or want the easiest route to provide some extra protection to their home networks. But, for someone looking for a VPN service that’s both simple to use and has several security features to choose from, Avast isn’t it.

Although it does provide security for all your devices, you must pay for a separate license for each device. That’s hardly convenient for someone on-the-go who needs protection on a laptop and tablet, for example.

Additionally, Avast SecureLine VPN, even with its excellent encryption, doesn’t fully keep you safe. Avast’s Acceptable Use Policy clearly states that it can, if necessary, go back through your records if it feels that your internet activity poses an issue to its service. But before looking at security more, there are a couple other disadvantages to touch on.

Pricing & Restricted Licensing

Avast has dramatically improved their pricing structure from last year. They used to require purchase of a separate license for each device. Now they have a much simplified Single Device plan and a Multi-Device plan.

On one hand, this change is a big improvement for both multi-device and single device users. Their pricing is ballpark competitive. However, when you look at the value of the pricing & the licensing restrictions – it’s still not the best deal among premium VPN providers. Even their multi-device plans caps at 5 devices.

Lacking in Features

Another drawback of Avast SecureLine VPN is for anyone who wants the most control over how they stay protected. This VPN doesn’t give you any control, really. There’s simply no features for you to control, other than what server you want to connect to.

Avast Limited Options

Of course, that comes in handy if you want to remain as inconspicuous as possible by connecting to a non-local server, but that’s an option most VPNs provide. Avast SecureLine VPN totally misses the mark when it comes to providing extra features, like port forwarding, ad-blocking, or kill switches, that further help you maintain your privacy and protection.

If you want only protection with a basic VPN bubble, Avast is a good choice. If you want any type of control over how you stay protected, you should look elsewhere.

In fact, you can download free VPN plugins for most browsers that provide similar services, and you won’t have to pay a monthly or annual fee. The Opera browser even has its own built-in VPN that you can activate if needed.

Number of Server Locations

Avast maintains a geographically diverse set of server locations. However, it does not have a particularly high number of server choices or country choices. At this writing, they maintain server locations in ~34 countries.

That’s not bad, but it’s not especially great either. If you are trying to use a country-specific internet for research and/or entertainment, this point can be an issue. If you are traveling a lot, it can be an issue.

Traffic Logging & Monitoring

To preface – not everyone who uses a VPN is committing some illegal or even unethical activity. Still, the whole point of a VPN is to provide you anonymity and security, so your identity and data aren’t compromised in any way. This includes anonymity from your VPN provider and anyone asking for access to your identity or information.

You should be able to expect the same from Avast, but Avast SecureLine VPN doesn’t provide this. It claims not to keep any logs of your identity or activity, but its Acceptable Use Policy contradicts this: “If we receive a complaint about misuse (for instance, from a copyright owner), we will investigate and take action if the complaint is correct.”

Imagine you’re traveling on business and find out that Avast needs to investigate your internet activity for some reason. Per its Acceptable Use Policy, Avast can, and will, do so if needed. This is not a hassle you need, and it shouldn’t be an issue you need to face from your VPN provider, especially when it claims not to hang on to your information.

Note that no VPN is 100% secure. Your traffic is still routing through a company. Any company can go out of business or go rogue. If you are trying to avoid your American ISP – then you are simply replacing distrust of Comcast/Charter with the trust of your VPN, which, if it is Avast, still explicitly holding those investigative powers over you. If you are a political activist where trust is a life or death situation, you need to be using something like Tor in addition to a VPN. But the point remains using a VPN does not instantly create security/privacy. That is something you do via aligning company incentives (ie, paying for companies who maintain security) & being proactive. In the case of Avast, you are not really paying for privacy – you are paying for access and privacy from people that you trust less than Avast.

Quick aside – it’s also noteworthy from a privacy standpoint that Avast does not accept any form of anonymous payments. Only major credit cards.

Avast SecureLine VPN Review Conclusion

It’s safe to say that, if you want the simple VPN app for your computer or mobile devices, Avast SecureLine VPN can give that to you. It provides a safe way to browse the internet without the bells and whistles of other VPN providers. They are pretty good about maintaining an open proxy for NetFlix and other entertainment options.

See Avast’s Current Plans & Pricing

The service is a good choice for the newest VPN users, but for someone with VPN experience who wants to keep personal and business data and internet usage safe, Avast SecureLine VPN simply won’t compare to other all-around premium providers – like ExpressVPN (review) or other solid premium VPNs.

Avast SecureLine VPN Review

Avast SecureLine is a well-established VPN service but has limited features, endpoints, and platform support, especially compared to its stablemate, HMA VPN.

Pros

  • Seven-day free, no-registration trial
  • Dedicated stremaing endpoints

Cons

  • Mediocre speeds
  • Limited device support
  • Expensive

Key Specifications

  • Review Price: £6.99 per month
  • Seven-day free trial
  • Clients for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS
  • Windows client supports OpenVPN

Buy Avast SecureLine for £6.99/$8.99 per month

Produced by anti-malware firm Avast, SecureLine is a reliable, no-frills virtual private network (VPN) service with clear logging policies.

Following the revelation that user data from some Avast products – not including any of its VPN services – was sold by its now-closed marketing and analysis subsidiary Jumpshot, Avast has upped its game in the transparency stakes with a regularly updated transparency report and warrant canary.

SecureLine keeps connection logs but doesn’t track user activity while connected – and has a limited but useful selection of endpoint locations. It uses the same backend network as AVG Secure VPN, which is also owned and run by Avast.

Pricing and subscriptions

The five-device subscription costs £47.88/$47.88 per year, £71.76/$71.76 for two years, £107.64/$107.64 everything three years. Although those prices have dropped slightly since my last review of SecureLine, it really is expensive compared to aggressively priced rivals like Windscribe and Surfshark, both of which have a lot more features.

A monthly subscription is available at £6.99/$8.99 per month, while a free seven-day trial is also available without registration, so you can see if SecureLine meets your needs before you pay for it. This is also very handy if you need to get a new computer connected to the internet with a bit of extra security and have no time to faff around with subscriptions. AVG Secure VPN is also owned by Avast, uses the same backend infrastructure and costs the same for UK/US users.

Features and usability

SecureLine’s standalone client is attractive and reasonably simple to use. Buttons on the front page allowed me to enable it and select an endpoint location from among 34 countries, including options for streaming video and P2P traffic.

You’ll have to go digging if you want to configure anything else, via the menu and then settings. Here, you can configure conditions under which the VPN will either automatically connect or prompt you to connect, enable a kill switch to prevent data leakage if the VPN disconnects unexpectedly, and enable access to devices on your local network.

Clients are available for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, but no connection instructions are provided for other operating systems or embedded systems such as NAS devices and routers, even though Avast uses the broadly supported OpenVPN protocol.

SecureLine is also available as an optional upgrade to Avast Antivirus, with the same features and an integrated interface.

All testing was carried out on a virtual desktop physically located at a data centre in London with a high-speed internet connection. This testing setup produces results under optimal connection conditions. VPN clients are tested on their default settings.

Avast’s speed test performance came in below average in every one of the locations I test, but only the US endpoint was slow enough to really have much impact on day-to-day use, and even then, 30Mbps is okay for watching HD videos, for example.

Avast has introduced some streaming video servers in the UK, US and Germany, which mean that, if you’re in one of those countries, you’re more likely to be able to watch local streaming services without having to disconnect from your VPN.

Should you buy Avast SecureLine?

Avast is headquartered in the Czech Republic and has a clear logging policy across its VPN service, which explicitly states that, although network performance and connection logs are retained, it does not log activity “such as the websites you visit, what data is transferred, and which IP addresses are accessed.”

Avast SecureLine’s performance is adequate for undemanding users, but its relatively high cost and unremarkable performance make it a poor choice when compared to more capable rivals, including Avast’s own HMA VPN. If you’re after security without having to deploy your own endpoints, ExpressVPN is my current favourite, while and NordVPN and Surfshark are both faster and cost less. Avast SecureLine VPN Review 2021 – All You Need to Know

In this blog post, I will review Avast's VPN service, called SecureLine, and break down their features so that you can make an informed purchasing decision, plus I'll answer some of the most frequently asked questions about VPNs in general.

When you connect to a service like Avast VPN, all of your Internet data will be encrypted and sent through a digital “tunnel.” This prevents third parties from intercepting any information that’s being transmitted from and to your devices.

VPNs are necessary to protect yourself when you're using public WiFi, but as you consider signing up for one of these services there are some things that you should know about before you pull the trigger.

Disclosure: Although I receive affiliate compensation for some of the links below at no additional cost to you that compensation in no way influences my recommendations, which are strictly informed by my years of digital marketing experience working with clients large and small. My aim is to always recommend tools that will offer you the best return on investment.

How does Avast SecureLine VPN Work?

Avast SecureLine VPN encrypts your data and routes it through a digital tunnel to one of Avast's secure servers.

This prevents anyone from seeing your data and using it for malicious purposes, such as logging into your social media or email accounts, taking over them, changing passwords, etc.

When you connect to a VPN service with your computer or mobile device, all traffic is routed through the encrypted connection created by the VPN server.

Neither your ISP (Internet Service Provider) nor any other third parties will be able to see your data over the VPN connection because all communications will be encrypted end to end.

VPN encryption protects your devices from prying eyes when you connect to public unsecured networks in coffee shops, shopping malls, airports, hotels, etc.

Can Avast hide my IP?

hide my ip

With the protection of Avast VPN, your IP address will also be fully concealed.

As a result of this cloaking, you’ll be able to access Internet sites and services that are blocked from your region due to geo-restrictions (like watching American Netflix from Canada or the U.K.)

In fact, with the Avast VPN you won't have any restrictions whatsoever and will be able to surf the net at full speed with total freedom.

Does Avast VPN hide your activity from your own router?

When it comes to your Internet service at home, Avast will also protect your online activity by making it harder for your local internet provider to log and track what you do.

To achieve this level of protection, Avast VPN makes use of military-grade 256-bit AES encryption, which means that if anyone tries to intercept your traffic all they’ll see is useless data that's virtually impossible to unscramble.

Avast VPN offers extensive coverage in European countries, Africa, South America and particularly countries with institutionalized firewalls like China, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

2. Allows you to bypass geo-restrictions and access content not otherwise available in your region

3. Provides you with a new IP address, so that you can browse the web without exposing your location and online identity to anyone

4. Allows you to stay safe on public WiFi hotspots, hotel networks, and other places with a weak security system

5. It's available for the MacOS, Windows, Android and iOS operating systems

Cons

1. It’s not free (they offer a 7-day free trial)

2. Although Avast doesn’t keep browser logs, they do keep connection logs

Price

Avast VPN costs $4.99/month ($59.88 billed a year in advance) or $8.99 monthly for up to 10 devices. Two and three year plans are priced even lower when paid in advance.

Premium Avast antivirus costs an additional $44.99/year for up to ten devices.

Is Premium Avast antivirus worth it?

antivirus

I would personally recommend it. The VPN service on its own may encrypt all Internet communications and keep your IP address anonymous, but it won’t protect you from visiting a malicious website that ends up infecting your computer or mobile device.

Premium Avast anti virus will automatically avoid nefarious websites so you won’t visit them by mistake — for example, many bad actors use misspellings of popular sites like eBay, Amazon and YouTube to infect the devices of unsuspecting visitors.

Avast’s antivirus service also protects you against infected routers in public places that use hacked settings to send you to fake websites to steal your logins, and blocks remote access attacks from reaching your computer.

How do I know if the VPN is working?

With Avast VPN installed on your device, when the VPN is active the slider switch on your main panel will turn green:

avast protection on

Source

If you want to check if you're protected outside Avast VPN, you can use a service like whatsmyipaddress.com, which will show you what IP address the site thinks that you're accessing it from.

If this IP address is different from the one shown in your device’s network settings, then you know the VPN is working.

Will my VPN slow down the internet?

Yes and no. Let me explain. Technically speaking, yes; the act of encrypting and decrypting each data packet takes more time than routing raw traffic, although top VPNs like Avast do this conversion extremely fast.

Having said that, almost all of the consumer Internet traffic these days is accessed via WiFi networks and not through wired connections, and WiFi technology is a bigger bottleneck for speed than VPNs.

So, in the rare case that you’re accessing the Internet over a wired connection, you might experience some latency.

But if your access is via WiFi you more than likely won’t experience any delays because VPNs can perform encryption and decryption faster than the WiFi router can transit the signal to your device.

Now, if you happen to own an ultra high speed WiFi router (they’re very pricey) you may notice some latency. Most of the time, however, you’ll be fine.

Are VPNs illegal?

is avast illegal

In most countries VPNs are completely legal and in fact highly recommended, but in others their use is restricted or even illegal.

In some countries, VPNs are required to operate under strict government regulations that mandate them to record all user activity logs, including all your browsing and connection data.

In more extreme cases they might be banned altogether due to their potential use in unapproved activities such as circumventing censorship restrictions imposed by the country's regime.

These countries may have local laws against access to certain types of information, which could include virtually anything as defined by their rulers, typically related to political advocacy, critique of political figures, etc.

Finally, some countries like China block access to any foreign website that stores user data out of country, in contravention to local laws that dictate that all data from their citizenry must be kept within their borders.

Do VPNs prevent spying?

Yes, the main purpose for using a VPN is to protect your data from any type of surveillance.

VPNs are in the business of encrypting your data and routing it through their dedicated servers to keep it away from prying eyes.

They achieve that by routing your traffic through digital “tunnels” of military-grade encrypted data from one end (your device) to the other (the website you’re visiting).

Can you be tracked if you use a VPN?

can you be tracked with avast

No. VPNs create a shield of security around your data so that nobody can track you.

This means your data is secure as it travels across the Internet, so no ISPs, hackers or government entities are able to monitor what websites you visit.

The only exception would be a local court order issued against the VPN provider demanding access to your connection logs.

VPNs also mask your real IP address with an anonymous one, effectively hiding any identifying information about where exactly you're browsing from.

This ensures full anonymity on the web since everything looks like it comes from a different location than where you physically are.

Can you get hacked through a VPN?

VPNs prevent hackers from intercepting your data, but don’t stop them from launching remote access attacks or prevent you from visiting malicious websites.

For that added level of protection, you’ll also need a strong antivirus like Premium Avast.

Do VPNs protect your passwords?

avast and passwords

Again, yes and no. VPNs will prevent your passwords from being intercepted en-route but won’t prevent hackers from installing keyword capture malware in your computer sahould you visit a malicious website or open an attachment in an infected email.

Antivirus software like Premium Avast will guard against these types of attacks.

Should I use a VPN when surfing while on my data plan?

VPNs are most valuable when the WiFi router or hot-spot you’re connecting to has weak security, like most public places (coffee shops, retails stores, airports, etc.)

If you use your own data plan, or a computer tethered to your smartphone, then your communications are secured by your phone provider. However, your IP address will still be visible and you won’t be 100% anonymous.

If you want full anonymity, including IP address cloaking, then you should use a VPN at all times.

Do I really need to use a VPN at home?

Not if you use a router with strong security. Otherwise, you'll benefit from a VPN. A VPN is most useful when you’re on public or unsecured networks, such as in a coffee shop or an airport.

However, if you're at home and have an older WiFi router with weak security you should consider adding the protection of a good VPN, or upgrading your router to one that has WPA3 security.

Having said that, if you want to cloak your IP address and remain 100% anonymous at all times you should always use a VPN, even when your home router is using a secure connection.

Do I need a VPN on my phone?

avast and phone

Absolutely! Your phone is your most likely device to be connected to unprotected public WiFi, and is therefore the most at risk of being hacked.

For example, if you log into your social media accounts or your email from an unprotected public WiFi network and a hacker is lurking in it, it only takes a minute before they're able to break into your accounts.

So, if you're out and about without the protection of a VPN and need to visit a website where you’ll be entering login credentials, make sure you turn off the WiFi on your device and use your data plan instead.

Should I leave my VPN on all the time?

Yes, unless you're at home and you have a secure router. Otherwise, I recommend turning your VPN on as soon as you leave home and before you automatically connect to a public WiFi network.

Once again, if you want to always remain anonymous by cloaking your true IP address, then you should have your VPN turned on at all times, even at home.

Should I use Avast secure browser?

avast browser

The Avast Secure Browser blocks ad trackers that follow your every move on the internet so they can sell your online behavior data for profit.

In doing so, it also dramatically improves your website loading speeds as these trackers and the ads they trigger can slow down your devices quite noticeably.

Does Avast VPN work with Netflix?

Netflix uses smart software to compare IP addresses looking for encrypted connections and clusters of people using the same IP address.

If an IP address is flagged, users won't be able to stream from Netflix. Instead, they will see an error message pop up.

The good news is, this is one area where Avast VPN really shines!

Most large streaming services like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video are able to  block the VPN servers of most large competitors. But somehow, Avast VPN manages to avoid their wide net and stay ahead of the game.

Wrapping Things Up

When using the Avast VPN servers to connect with your devices, all of your data will be encrypted and sent through digital tunnels that prevent unwanted parties from accessing your data transmitted over the Internet.

So, use of the Avast VPN is critical when you’re relying on public WiFi networks to access the Internet from retail establishments and public places like airports, public libraries, etc.

Also, the Avast VPN service cloaks your IP address so that you remain 100% anonymous when you browse any website.

Finally, when combined with the Avast Premium antivirus software, you'll be adding a solid layer of protection against hackers infecting your devices with malware or gaining remote access to your computer.

Whether you are looking for a VPN for privacy on public networks, for website access, for avoiding geotargetingfor masking communications or all the above, hopefully, this Avast SecureLine VPN review will be useful.

Additionally, all commercial VPNs suffer from the same group of risks outlined by the US National Institutes of Technology’s Empirical Analysis in 2018 avast secureline vpn login Avast SecureLine VPN Good?

It offers the most basic VPN features, like a simple pull-down menu to choose a server or automatically connect to one and language avast secureline vpn login.

At this writing, they maintain server avast secureline vpn login in ~34 countries.

In the case of Avast, you avast secureline vpn login not really paying for privacy – you are paying for access and privacy from people that you trust less than Avast.

They are pretty good about maintaining an avast secureline vpn login proxy for NetFlix and other entertainment options.

See Avast’s Current Plans & Pricing

The service is a good choice for the newest VPN users, but for someone with VPN experience who wants to keep personal and business data and internet usage safe, Avast SecureLine VPN simply won’t compare to other all-around premium avast secureline vpn login – like ExpressVPN (review) or other solid premium VPNs.

The virtual private network (VPN) creates the safe ciphered Internet connection. With it the user can open any tabs in the browser, both its history of visits and data will be invisible to the third parties — for example, malefactors and cyberspies. To secure itself during the work in public networks or at connection to false access point of Wi-fi, users start the Avast SecureLine VPN application which ciphers their data, doing them unavailable to other people, explained in Avast.

According to the developer, Avast SecureLine VPN will protect users in the following situations:

  • Security during the work in public networks Wi-fi. If the input in Wi-fi network does not require the password, such network is unsafe. Even if the access code or the password after connection to Wi-Fi ask to enter the user, such connection is not protected by enciphering, and any person who is nearby can monitor actions of the user and intercept transmitted data, including logins, passwords, bank information, personal e-mails, a photo and video.
  • Protection at connection to false networks Wi-fi. In computers and phones the option using which they are automatically included into Wi-fi network often is by default configured if earlier worked in network with the same name. It is unsafe as cybercriminals can create false access point of Wi-fi. It is enough to select for it an identical name, and all devices which are nearby, will be connected to this network. Thus, hackers can get access to personal data of users.

According to the statement of the developer, in Avast SecureLine VPN 256-bit enciphering according to the standard (AES) meeting the requirements of defense industry is used. Versions of the solution for iOS and Sony vegas free involve the IPsec protocol. Their basis is formed by own stacks of Apple that provides high compatibility and performance. Avast SecureLine VPN is available to Mac, Windows, Android and iOS. Avast also cooperates with mobile operators, providing to users VPN protection avast secureline vpn login on the mobile devices.
