Ultra Virus Killer 10.20.5.0
A name like "Ultra Virus Killer" might make you think this program will strip your PC of malware all on its own, but the truth is a little more complicated: the package is more about providing tools to help you manually find and remove unwanted programs, then repair any damage they might have caused.
And so you get modules to view running processes, and the DLLs and other files they're using. The program allows you to control Windows startup programs, services, drivers and more. An alternate streams manager looks for suspect NTFS streams; you get a program to help you free virus killer files or folders, even if they're in use; and there are modules to clean and repair your PC, even protect your Registry from modification, so maybe helping you to avoid infection in the first place.
Much of this will sound very familiar, but the program offers far more than you'll expect. The "Process Manager" isn't some feeble take on Task Manager, for instance. It's specifically oriented to malware hunting, with tools to delete multiple processes at the same time, to verify a file signature, to pause and resume a process, to search for it on Google, run process-specific checks at VirusTotal/ ThreatExpert/ Runscanner, and more.
And there's the same level of power just about everywhere you look. The "System Repair" module, for example, has tools to reset your host file and DNS to their default state; reset your PC's group policies; reset your Registry and NTFS security settings; get Windows Update working again; install or update various key components (DirectX/ Java/ Flash/ .NET); clear all your temporary folders, re-register all Windows DLLs, and the list goes free virus killer are also dangers here. Resetting Registry permissions, re-registering DLLs and so on might solve some very difficult problems, but should things go wrong then they could also seriously damage your PC. And UVK does have several components which may have adverse effects (the Immunize function may prevent some malware infections, but it can also interfere with legitimate installations). This isn't a program to use unless you know what you're doing, and always have a full system backup to hand.
If you're an experienced Windows user, though, UVK has a lot to offer, being absolutely packed with effective malware hunting, PC maintenance and repair options.
While it leaves you to do most of the work, Ultra Virus Killer is an excellent suite of manual malware hunting tools, and there are some very useful PC maintenance and repair modules thrown in, too
Professional software to track and destroy Trojan viruses
Trojan Killer provides users with a quick and effective means of detecting any Trojan-based free virus killer that may be embedded within their operating system. Should the performance of a computer suddenly degrade, this application may be able to detect and effectively eliminate a virus before any real damage is done. A user-friendly interface is perfect for novices.
Main Advantages and Tools
Trojan Killer essentially scans the entire hard drive of a computer. It will look for the telltale signatures of a Trojan virus. If one is found, it is quarantined and the user is immediately alerted. He or she can choose to delete the file with a single click. It will display the progress of all scanned files as well as how much time is estimated to remain before the task is complete. Any suspected infections are highlighted in red for easy clarification.
Trojan Killer is constantly updated, so many of the latest threats can be dealt with. There is no limit in regards to the number of computers that this application can access. As it can be saved on a memory stick, it is also quite portable when compared to some other anti-virus programs. A free demonstration is available before the bundle will need to be purchased.

We fully vetted each program against a set of rating criteria of our own. Among free virus killer most important factors we considered with each of these is how they define “free.” Whereas some software providers only carry free trials, or “free” virus removal tools that don’t work unless you pay up first, all of the options on this list are legitimately free-to-use and can be used to remove viruses and malware without paying a dime.
We’ve found that some of the best free malware, rootkit, and virus removal tools come from highly respected companies in the software security industry.
Our software list below covers only Windows computers. If you’re a Mac user looking for virus and malware protection, please check out our article on the best Mac antivirus programs.

It’s important to note that all free virus and malware removal tools will have some limitations versus paid versions. For example, some free software may not remove all forms of viruses, including certain types of spyware. And most free antivirus tools are feature-limited compared to their paid alternatives, so they won’t include advanced features like anti-tracking browser extensions. While free tools can get the job done most of the time, there may be an occasion that requires just a bit more *umph* than a free tool will provide.
1. Avira Free Antivirus
An AV-Test Top Rated product, Avira Free Antivirus for PC also has the distinction of receiving Advanced+ and Gold status from another independent testing lab: AV-Comparatives. It’s a free virus removal tool with all the bells and whistles.
Avira is fairly clear in what it offers. The “free forever” version of its software provides all of the following features:
- Quality malware and virus scanning and removal tools
- Real-time protection
- Protection against ransomware
- Privacy protections to secure your personal data
- Free VPN
- Password manager
- Safe browsing (anti-phishing included)
With Avira, scanning occurs in the cloud, which helps identify unknown viruses and computer exploits, disregarding the need for a downloaded library of virus definitions (which Avira does also include).
Avira Free Antivirus for PC can also identify and remove potentially unwanted programs (PUPS), also known as potentially unwanted programs (PUAs).
Should you decide you want a little bit more out of Avira, or just want to do away with the ads, a paid subscription to Avira Antivirus Pro may be up your alley. Not only does the paid version remove ads, it also allows you to install the program on up to 5 devices with the same license, alongside guaranteed phone and email support.
Avira is probably giving up a lot of potential revenue by offering its award-winning software with a free tier, but that’s all the better for those of us who need AV protection on a tight budget.
2. Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition
Bitdefender is an interesting option. The highly respected internet security company not only has a Top Rated stamp from AV-Test comes highly rated by AV-Comparatives as well. The free software offers a large array of free tools alongside its paid antivirus suite. While the paid version is particularly worthy of attention, the free tools are capable of standing on their own.
Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition highlights four features that make the program worth using:
- Powerful virus scanning and removal for viruses, worms, all forms of malware, rootkits, zero-day exploits and spyware
- Threat detection for suspicious app activity
- Website blocking (anti-phishing);
- Anti-fraud system for sites that may be potential scams
That’s not all. Should Antivirus Free Edition find malware it can’t clean, Bitdefender may still have a virus removal option for you. Bitdefender offers free virus removal tools for specific named viruses. You can just type in the virus name that into the search engine and see if there’s a tool available to remove that virus.
Bitdefender does offer an upgraded version of its software for a price. However, the free version is so inclusive that it’s somewhat hard to justify paying full price for the complete software suite.
With a free virus removal tool and even more free options for particularly troublesome viruses, Bitdefender is a go-to option for troublesome malware.
TotalAV offers both a free and paid version of its software. The paid version is fully loaded with a real-time AV scanner, antivirus, and other features. But if all you need is the occasional tool to scan for and remove viruses, TotalTV’s Smart Scan will root out remove entrenched malware.
TotalAV free offers the following features at no cost:
- Smart Scan malware scanning and removal
- WebShield protection malicious websites
- Data breach checker
- System tune-up tools, such as junk clear, app uninstaller, and browser clean-up
TotalAV’s primary focus is on malware removal. To that end, the free version comes with three malware scanning options. Smart Scan, the more notable option, uses an intelligent scanning system that checks the most common locations where viruses exist on a system, and checks against the behavior of malware. You can also take advantage of a Quick Scan, which checks the most common folders (such as the Downloads and Temporary Files folders), and a deeper System Scan.
All of these features are free forever, while TotalAV offers a 7-day free trial for its premium features. If you want to upgrade to extended features, like the real-time scanner, password vault, and VPN, TotalAV lets you do that right from the app.
4. Adaware Antivirus Free
Adaware has three antivirus software tools to offer. Its two paid versions offer a large library of features, including parental controls and a digital file locker (Total package only) as well as an enhanced firewall and online shopping protection (Pro and Total versions).
However, all of that is a moot point. If you have an immediate virus problem and need action now, their free virus removal tool is a solid option.
With Adaware free, you’ll get:
- Adaware’s award-winning antivirus tools
- Real-time protection against viruses
- Download scanning to protect your computer against threats
Contrary to the name, Adaware offers more than just adware removal. Perhaps the biggest limit to this program is the fact that you don’t get any tech support with the free version. You’ll need to upgrade to the paid Total or Pro versions in order to access any real-human support should things go wrong with the software. There is a forum and an FAQ section on the site, but from our experience, these are often unhelpful.
Overall, Adaware really is a no-frills antivirus and malware removal solution. If all you need is something simple and free, it’s a good option to entertain.
5. Comodo Free Anti-Malware BOClean
Comodo is a leading brand in internet security. Not only does the company offer a large suite of security software, it’s also one of the more respected dealers in SSL certificates for websites.
Comodo cleanmypc activation code reddit - Crack Key For U its Free Anti-Malware BOClean software without any strings attached. Unlike some of the other options on our list, you’re not getting a slightly neutered version of a paid option. Instead, BOClean is a standalone product from Comodo designed to rid your computer of unwanted programs.
BOClean is also one of the most feature-rich free virus and malware removal tools we’ve discovered.
With BOClean, you get all of the following features:
- Real-time malware detection and elimination
- Removes all forms of malicious files and applications (many ransomware excluded)
- Limits false alarms
- Regular malware detection reports
- Detects and deletes new and updated malware variants
- Free virus definition updates
- Hidden configuration for businesses and schools to avoid unauthorized tampering with the software
With so much packed into one small package, it’s easy to see why Comodo is a leader and the industry and why their BOClean is a popular choice. Should you want more, BOClean is included in Comodo’s Internet Security software. However, if all you need is a free tool, BOClean is hard to beat.
6. Norton Power Eraser
There’s a very good chance you’ve heard of Norton. Their primary paid option, Norton Security, not only received top marks from AV-Test, the free virus killer testing lab gave it a coveted “Top Product” stamp of approval.
By consequence, Norton’s internet security measures are fairly trustworthy. That includes their Power Eraser, which takes some of the winning security methods applied to their paid software and packs them into a powerful malware removal tool.
Note that Power Eraser is specifically designed for “crimeware,” e.g., ransomware or other identify-stealing viruses. Norton also claims that their Power Eraser tool is designed to get rid of viruses that most other programs won’t get.
Power Eraser is feature-limited given its somewhat targeted purpose. That said, it has a fairly healthy list of scanning functions, which include:
- Scanning for risks (viruses, malware, etc.)
- Unwanted programs scanning (PUPs)
- Single file or folder scanning
- System scanning
- Multi-boot scanning
- The option to undo a previous fix
This tool is actually fairly aggressive, although relatively light on system resources, given its singular purpose. However, that aggression means it may result in a number of false alarms. If you opt for Power Eraser to get rid of your virus or malware problem, make sure to carefully review the report before fully deleting anything. Certain types of software, including VPN software or other virus software, may get wrapped up in Norton’s sticky snare.
7. RegRun Reanimator
RegRun Reanimator from Greatis Software takes a vastly different approach to free virus removal and malware removal. Greatis expressly states that RegRun is not an antivirus software tool. In fact, unlike most of the other options we’ve listed, RegRun Reanimator does not include real-time protection.
Instead, RegRun Reanimator is designed to remove:
- Some rootkits
That’s where its similarity with antivirus programs ends. When you run Reanimator, it creates a log detailing what viruses it’s discovered on your system and where they are located. Users then send that log file to RegRun’s tech support team which analyzes the file and sends back another file that executes the cleaning and virus removal produces through the REAnimator software.
Sound complicated? It is, at least compared to more common AV tools. But RegRun Reanimator is one of the only options available that puts a human touch on the virus removal procedures. That said, if you need something more immediate, RegRun Reanimator may not be for you. The company says it takes 1-2 days to get a response from tech support with your executable file.
RegRun does utilize a more traditional antivirus software option through its Security Suite. The Reanimator is what the company describes as a “function limited version” of their commercial software.
Consider RegRun Reanimator an option if the other more traditional virus removal programs fail.
8. eScan Anti-Virus Toolkit
If eScan Anti-Virus is new to you, you’re in good company. Prior to researching this piece, I’d never heard the name before either. But research interestingly reveals hidden treasures, and eScan appears to be one of them.
A small name compared to some of the much bigger enterprises on this list, eScan more than proves its worth. AV-Test gave eScan’s main product one of its few Top Rated stamps alongside high ratings for performance and functionality. The Anti-Virus Toolkit offers many of eScan’s virus removal tools and offers them free for users trying to save a buck.
eScan Anti-Virus Toolkit is purely a scanner and removal tool. The program takes up almost no presence on your system and doesn’t go through an installation process.
After you download this tool, you can use it to do the following:
- Scan for malware
- Scan individual folders
- Remove viruses
- Check network activity for unusual behavior
The benefit to this program is that you can run the software from anywhere, including a USB flash drive. That makes eScan Anti-Virus Toolkit worth having on a separate flash drive just in case you get a virus that shuts off access to your programs.
We highly recommend Anti-Virus Toolkit as a viable option to add to your virus and malware removal toolbox.
*Note: eScan has a primary antivirus program that offers a free, limited trial. This is NOT the same thing as the toolkit, and is somewhat difficult to locate on their website. Use the above link to go there directly. Otherwise, you can find the Toolkit under the “Support” section from eScan’s main homepage.
Those who don’t want something too complicated might want to consider the considerably lightweight FreeFixer AV tool.
That said, FreeFixer takes a rather heavy-handed approach. Instead of distinguishing between wanted and unwanted programs or files, FreeFixer will offer a list of potential malware. It’s then up to the user to go through the list and delete the bad ones.
This AV tool focuses its sights on:
- other forms of potentially unwanted programs (PUPS)
Because this service gives you a list of every PUP it identifies, make sure to double-check each file that free virus killer up in the scan before removing it. Accidentally removing legitimate files can damage your Windows operating system or apps. If you want the option to quarantine and restore deleted files, you’ll need to pay $9.95 for the Pro version.
Although the name says “anti spyware”, the SUPERAntiSpyware AV tool is actually far more encompassing than that. Not only can you use this tool to remove spyware, but you can also run its scanner to check for and remove most other forms of malware.
There’s both a free and paid pro edition with this tool. However, the free edition offers thoroughly robust features, including:
- Detection and removal of malware, spyware, adware, keyloggers, ransomware, and more
- Multi-dimensional scanning
- Process interrogation that examines system processes for potential malware
Although there’s no real-time scanning available for free, the scans provide free malware identification and removal. Updates aren’t automatic with the free version, either, but you can still update the virus definitions manually. The only features missing from the free version are different scanning options (such as scan scheduling or quick scans) and email notifications for completed scans.
Enhanced Multi-Layer Scanning Increases Detection Rates
SpyHunter's advanced scanning architecture features a robust multi-layer system scanner designed to detect new threats. SpyHunter offers a variety of options to customize scans. Our front-end detection engine incorporates cloud-based capabilities to offer high-level detection and protection. SpyHunter users can expect great performance, advanced heuristic detection methods, and system efficiency.
Users can opt to manually focus scans on specific folders or drives, you can also view logs of previous scans, manage quarantined objects, and select objects to exclude from future SpyHunter scans. Our multi-layered scanning process can separate and distinguish between vulnerabilities, privacy issues, unknown objects, potentially unwanted programs and malware, to allow users to take appropriate action, based on personal preferences.
Detect a multitude of common viruses
Multi Virus Cleaner 2011 is a useful tool that helps you detect viruses on your PC.
A good antivirus tool is one that regularly updates its virus definitions and that can really clean deep into your PC.
With Multi Virus Cleaner 2011 you're limited just to scanning your PC. The program does offer four different ways to scan however. You can search with a quick scan, a full scan, a deep scan, or look solely in particular files with a custom scan.
Multi Virus Cleaner 2011 can be regularly updated and claims to protect you from over 5,900 viruses. There's a list of virus signatures in the updates section, but it doesn't appear to be exhaustive or to take into account the latest ones.
Multi Virus Cleaner 2011's scans were relatively lengthy and not particularly effective (it found only a small proportion of present threats in our test).
The program only gives you two options when a virus is detected: delete automatically or verify with the user what to do. The latter usually requires you to delete the virus anyway, meaning there aren't many customizable features available in Multi Virus Cleaner 2011.
You are not shown the time you spend scanning your PC with Free virus killer Virus Cleaner 2011. You can follow the progress by seeing how many files have been scanned, as well as viewing what files the utility is working on.
Final Draft 11 Crack + Activation Key Free Download 2020 security is not something you can fool around with, and that's why you should always try to have one of the best security suites installed.
Multi Virus Cleaner 2011 is unfortunately not a security suite. It provides basic scanning possibilities that, while useful, are not sufficient to keep your PC secure on their own.
7 Free Bootable Antivirus Disks to Clean Malware From Your PC
Your antivirus or antimalware suite keeps your system clean. At least, it does most of the time. Security programs are better than ever, but some malware still squeezes through the gaps. There is also the other common issue: the human touch. Where there is a human, there is a chance for malware to slip through.
When that happens, you can reach for a bootable antivirus disk. A bootable antivirus disk is a malware removal environment that works like a Linux Live CD or USB. Here are seven free bootable antivirus disks you should check out.
1. Kaspersky Rescue Disk
The Kaspersky Rescue Disk is one of the best bootable antivirus disks, allowing you to scan an infected machine easily. The Kaspersky Rescue Disk scanner has a reasonable range of antivirus scanning options, including individual folder scanning, startup objects, system drive, and fileless objects. You can also scan your system boot sectors, which is a nice option to find stubbornly hidden malware.
That said, the Kaspersky Rescue Disk does come with a smattering of additional tools, such as Firefox, a file manager, and more.
Another handy Kaspersky Rescue Disk feature is the graphic or text-based interface. The GUI is the best option for most users, but the text-only mode is available for low-power machines or otherwise.
Kaspersky consistently achieves high scores in antivirus testing, and the Kaspersky Rescue Disk brings that to you in a bootable format. Kaspersky also features in our list of the free virus killer antivirus suites for Windows 10.

2. Bitdefender Rescue CD
Bitdefender Rescue CD is of the same ilk as Kaspersky's offering. It is a large download, has a simple-to-use UI, and comes with several antivirus scan options to help you figure out what's wrong with your system.
The scanning interface is easy to navigate, allowing you to exclude certain file types, scan archive files (such as a .ZIP or .7z), scan files below a particular size, or just drag and drop individual files into the scanner. For the most part, however, the standard scan is fine as you want to make sure your system is free of malware.
Also included in the Bitdefender Rescue CD is Firefox, a file browser, disk recovery tool, and a few other utilities.
The major downside to Bitdefender Rescue CD is that it is no longer updated; therefore, the virus signatures are outdated. Still, it is a decent rescue disk.

3. Avira Rescue System
Avira Rescue System is an Ubuntu-based bootable antivirus rescue disc. The Avira Rescue Disc is one of the best bootable antivirus environments for beginners, as it includes a handy guide to walk you through scanning your drives. Moreover, Avira offers very little in the way of scan customization. Again, this might suit a beginner, as there is less chance of turning part of a scan off and missing a malicious file.
The Avira Rescue System environment is easy to navigate, with a streamlined interface of labeled boxes. Like the other options, the Avira Rescue System includes a web browser and a disk partitioning tool amongst others.
As Avira is an Ubuntu-based rescue disk, it also works well with Linux-based systems.

4. Trend Micro Rescue Disk
From three of the largest bootable antivirus rescue disks to the smallest. The Trend Micro Rescue Disk may well be the smallest bootable antivirus disk on this list, but it packs a handy punch that will help you regain control of your system.
Given its size (around 70MB at the time of writing), you can forgive that the Trend Micro Rescue Disk has no graphical user interface. Instead, you use the rescue disk exclusively through plain text menus. It sounds a little daunting. But in practice, the text menus are simple to navigate, and you will find your way through.

5. Dr.Web Live Disk
Despite the slightly suspect name (Dr.Web sounds like a phony internet firm, to me at least), Dr.Web Live Disk offers a wide range of antivirus scanning options in its bootable antivirus environment. In comparison with the alternatives, Dr.Web's range of scanning options is extensive.
For instance, you can configure the types and sizes of files for inclusion and exclusion. You can set individual actions for specific types of malware, such as a bootkit, dialer, adware, and so on. You can also limit the amount of time the virus scan spends on individual files, handy if you have multiple large media file types.
Dr.Web Live Disk free virus killer another string in its bow, too: you can use it to scan Linux systems.
Download: Dr.Web Live Disk (Free)
6. AVG Rescue
AVG is one of the most recognizable names in security. The AVG Rescue disk has a very basic, text-only interface, but it does allow for customizable scanning.
For instance, you can mount a specific Windows volume and scan only that, or scan specific files within that volume. Alternatively, you can scan Windows Startup objects or even just the Windows Registry to seek out specific malware types. (Should you clean the Windows Registry, anyway?) In addition, AVG Rescue comes with a few diagnostic and analytical tools to help you fix drive-specific issues, rather than just straight-up malware.
The very basic text interface won't be everyone's cup of tea. Having to navigate back and forth through the interface using the arrow keys is infuriating at times. But, given the range of options available and the accuracy of the AVG Rescue disk scanner, you might overlook the arrow keys.

7. ESET SysRescue Live
Another bootable antivirus disk for your consideration is ESET SysRescue Live, an advanced antivirus rescue disk with lots of features.
ESET SysRescue Live comes with extensive antivirus scan control. You can scan archives, email folders, symbolic links, boot sectors, and more, or use the ESET scan profiles. The ESET SysRescue Live disk also packs in a disk analysis tool to check for defects and other failures, plus a memory test tool to check your system RAM for errors.
The rescue environment also comes with the Chromium browser, partition manager GParted, TeamViewer for remote system access, and a smattering of other handy utilities.

8. Comodo Rescue Disk
Your final bootable antivirus option is the Comodo Rescue Disk. As a long-established antivirus and security outfit, Comodo's antivirus disk comes with some esteem.
It includes three different types of scan: a smart scan, free virus killer scan, or custom scan. The smart scan is a handy way of checking for rootkits and other malware lurking in your system boot sectors, while the custom scan allows you to scan individual files and folders to track a specific threat.
What Is the Best Free Bootable Antivirus Disk?
For me, the best free bootable antivirus disk is a toss-up between Kaspersky Rescue Disk and Dr.Web Live Disk.
The Kaspersky Rescue Disk is cumbersome but effective, updating regularly, and backed with Kaspersky's excellence in the field of security. But it doesn't have the same extensive functionality as the Dr.Web Live Disk. While the latter cannot truly compete with Kaspersky on scanning terms alone, the scanning options available in the Dr.Web Free virus killer Disk make it a handy tool.
Regarding the other tools, all are strong and will clean your system. Depending on the severity of the malware, you could download two bootable antivirus disks and run them one after the other to make sure nothing slips through the net.
